A Timely Piece of Advice

In a materialistic society, money is bestowed with psychedelic powers to spin the world around. It exudes a domineering and overrated reputation in the corporate power dome. It's as if money begets money and nothing else matters. Money equals power and power equals greed. Greed controls the world but it cannot change time. Time is either a gift or a curse. Like Spider man's mantra on his super heroism.

Early in life we were told that we must save money. Perhaps one of the best advise you'll ever know for sure. However, to save money is smart but to invest in time is wiser. The flower doesn't bloom on the early summer without ample time and nourishment. Most gardeners succumb to these wheels of time and change, it's investment.

I don't want to give you a flourishing glib for investment. Sure, there are gains and returns but you'll never know for sure. There are thousands of advises from financial experts, but to each is his own in finding your fortune. Some starts with little money and gains much more. Others start big, only to lose it all in the end. There's no one perfect formula.

Success in my league didn't come from money alone. I learned to invest time. My parents owned a cleaning force service company. At its peak, they became the top picks for some of the big companies in Manhattan. But soon, politics ruined business, and most clients ceased their deals. We closed down without giving it another shot. Years after we found that our former manager opened his own company, with the same process and deals like ours. He just continued the legacy and is now the head of the company controlling most clients from Manhattan.

Had we stuck it out, will it still be the same? We wouldn't know exactly. A winner isn't a quitter, but a fool just doesn't know when to quit. Listen to what your heart has to say and follow it. Invest in time-- time to learn, time to hold on, and time to bounce back. While timing is a visceral choice, just listen and believe.
