Whenever I hear the word "investment," I cringe. Maybe because I always find it so hard to have a good investment strategy. I always thought of it to be complicated and unnecessary. But, now I know that the rules are just simple and basic. Investments don't have to be hard and hassling. You just have to put in time and deep thoughts to come up with an effective investment plan.

The first thing to remember when you're about to invest is to "diversify". Don't just invest in one stock, it's best that you invest in several stocks. That way, your many grows from different factors. You shouldn't invest in one type of investment. As I've said, diversify; it's the best way to go. The next thing to do is to do research. You have to know the facts about your stocks and about the type of investments that you will venture in. It's good that you know what to expect from your investments. You also have to set limitations and you should set realistic goals for your investments.

Never invest when you know you don't have the capacity to pay for it. It's just like gambling. Never gamble when you can't really afford to lose. Another thing is that you should never be greedy and selfish. You know what happens to greedy people, don't you? Be kind to your broker and your broker will be kind to you. Lastly, think for the future when investing. Don't get carried away with your present situation. Investments are for long-term security and a good financial planning insurance.
